Here comes the summer season and people cannot obsessing themselves over mangoes! Eating mango fruit or any other fruit for breakfast is definitely one of the healthiest things and also helps you think clearer, eases your digestive track and burn extra fat.

When we do go to sleep, we go to a fasting state which leaves our body dehydrated and hungry. Eating fruits the first thing in the morning will help your body to absorb all the nutrition.  Switch your for fruit, and you’ll notice immediate health improvements within just one week.

Here are 8 reasons why you should start eating mangoes for breakfast:

Enhance The Detoxification Phase

Between 7 AM and 11 AM , our body goes  through the heaviest phase of detoxification. All the toxins that are accumulated in the body are cleansed during this phase. As you know that mangoes are the powerhouse of energy, mango consumed for breakfast will boost the detoxification process by supplying the body with energy, vitamins and minerals.

Stimulate the Digestive Tract

Eating mango fruit for breakfast eases the digestion process.  Eating mango fruit for breakfast introduces the body with beneficial enzymes, fibre and prebiotics that help to stimulate digestive juices in the stomach and push out old waste matter stored earlier. The fibre present in the fruit mango cleanses the body, leaving you feeling light and refreshed.

Lose Weight

Eating mangoes for breakfast provides the body with quality nutrition and also helps to flush out the excess toxins by pushing out old waste matter from the intestines. Eating plenty of fruits in the morning and throughout the entire day aids the body to get rid of excess toxicity and waste storage, which eventually leads to weight loss in the end.

Boost the Immune System

Consuming a mango smoothie for breakfast instead of consuming Idli or dosa enhance the performance of your immune system and overall health. Mango Fruit is high in vitamin C and antioxidants, which strengthen the immune system release any invading bacteria and microbes. The Vitamin C present in mangoes help your body produce more disease-fighting white blood cells, help these cells work more effectively and improve your skin’s defenses. The folate, vitamin K, vitamin E and several B vitamins aid immunity as well.

Boost your metabolism

Mangoes help to jump-start your metabolism, so your body will burn more calories. In a study conducted by the Texas A&M University, lean and obsessed people were given 400 grams of mango for six weeks. As a result, the lean individuals decreased their blood pressure while the obese subjects improved their hemoglobin levels; the findings indicate a improved absorption rate and metabolic rate.

Create An Alkaline Environment For The Body

The first thing people think when consuming mangoes is that it is too acidic. Lemons are actually consumed by many people the first thing in the morning. They may be acidic in form, but once they reach the stomach, the minerals (like potassium and sodium) disassociate to make it alkaline.  Mango fruit is alkaline, so make sure you eat plenty of it in the morning.

Strengthen the heart

Mangoes contain magnesium and potassium which help to maintain a healthy pulse rate and relax blood vessels, promoting lower blood pressure levels. Mango also contains a unique antioxidant called mangiferin that may protect heart cells against inflammation, oxidative stress and apoptosis. It also contributes to lowering cholesterol levels and lowering blood pressure.

Banish Belly bloating

The fibre present in the mango fruit will help in flushing out the waste storage in the digestive tract or intestines and ultimately get rid of stubborn belly fat. Mangoes are also rich in water, consuming them will flush out excess sodium by encouraging urination thereby lowering the belly fat.

Majority of fruits and vegetables that are available in the market today are peeled before being consumed, often because we believe that the skin doesn’t taste as good as they inside part,

Mango is a tasty and juicy fruit with a variety of antioxidants. One glass of this magical drink can solve many health problems.  The peel of mango contains a lot of excellent vitamins and minerals that you could benefit from.

A classic fruit like the Kiwi is often peeled before being consumed, but the hairy skin is rich in antioxidants and is scientifically proven to have anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic properties according to Dr. Glenville, a former president of the Food and Health Forum at the Royal Society of Medicine.

Should Mango peel be consumed? Why?

Mangoes are have great nutritional value and are a rich source of vitamins, including C, A, E and K. With all that goodness in it, should we also be eating it? Is it really worth it? What we fail to realize is that the mango peel contains antioxidants mangiferin, norathyriol, resveratrol, and quercetin, which helps us in combating aging, free radical damage and can help us fight cancer.

Mangiferin can ease inflammation and protect against UV rays from the sun. The peel contains various phytonutrients which prevents any damage to the fruit by insects.

According to a research conducted by the Oklahoma State University it was found that eating mangoes could help control your blood sugar levels and reduce body fat by reducing leptin levels. Leptin helps in regulating appetite and energy consumption and storage. Also the pulp contains natural sugars, which helps in maintaining the body sugar levels and maintaining balance. Also the fibre in the mango aids digestion and eases bowel movement.

Should we be careful about something before consuming the peel?

Mangoes contain urushiol, an oily mixture of organic compounds with allergenic properties which are responsible for skin rashes. Some of us have sensitive skin types, so even coming in contact with the peel may cause an allergic reaction. So avoid eating the peel, if it harms you in any way, or if you have sensitive skin.

Ways of eating a mango peel?

So if you’re not allergic to mango and plan on to eat a mango peel, below are various approaches to eating them. Try to buy organic fresh mangoes from Mangoes Hyderabad and wash them before eating.

·         Mango Pickling: Mango skin can be pickled and spices can be added accordingly to suit your taste.

·         Zesting: Mango peel can be grated and added to salads, smoothies, and many other dishes to make the end result look much more attractive.

·         Mango chips: You can make chips from mango skin by chopping the skin up and baking it in the oven or frying them.

·         Smoothies: You can cut up your mango and add to your other fruits and vegetables to make a healthy smoothie.
